Archer Boyette is a filmmaker and installation artist from Asheville, North Carolina. Her handmade, 16mm films playfully engage with the materiality of celluloid to examine human and non-human relationships. Most recently, Archer has been working with botanicals from the Blue Ridge Mountains to create camera-less animations and phytograms. Archer received an MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts from Duke University, where she currently works as an instructor of Cinematic Arts.
